Currently, I am working to correctly convey Japanese culture to the world. I teach genuine swordsmanship and the samurai spirit. You will not only challenge actual cutting but also will find out the importance of mental concentration. Appreciate the keenness of a real Japanese sword, and feel the spirit of quietness valued by martial arts.

I am a descendent of Samurai. I have over 20 yrs. of experience in both swordsmanship and yabusame. 6 degree rank instructor in All Japan Toyama Iaido Renmei, chairman of Bizen-kai, and Yabusame (horseback archery) master. I have provided seminars to more than 500 foreign visitors and visited USA, Europe, and Asian countries to coach the members.

- Change into a traditional training uniform called a keikogi.
- Learn the history of Japanese swords, Iai, Gekken, and Tameshigiri.
- Iai- learn proper sword etiquette, and the basics of handling and swinging a sword.
- Gekken-use padded gekken sparring practice sword in a mock duel.
- Tameshigiri-cut 2 rolled up straw mats with real sharp sword.
- Picture time.
Other information
Avoid the use of alcohol prior to the lesson, as it can be dangerous while working with sharp swords.
